Jewelry that I have created over the last 18 years. 80% to 90% of these pieces were created using materials that the client already owned (I.E. broken gold chains, rings, jewelry, class rings no longer worn, inherited jewelry that is not a style that a client would wear.)
The client i made this for brought in a collection of jewelry that she wore no longer. They were items given to her over the 30 years of her marriage by her husband.
I melted down all the gold and made it all the same karat and made all the parts you see that are gold in this piece.
The Sterling wire and plate were purchased from the refiner, shaped, twisted, soldered and assembled to create this paper weight for her husbands desk at work. Coincidentally she had EXACTLY 30 diamonds in all the pieces of jewelry we disassembled to create this piece.
